Rylai the Crystal Maiden

Dota 2 Fanart featuring Crystal Maiden! With short hair! Originally a sketch to practice foreshortening, the process of digital painting was a bit long with a bit of trial and error. The way her face was rendered was a bit strange to me originally and what I was able to pin point was that the forehead was lit from a forward angle rather than at an upward angle.

Likewise, I'm still trying to get the hang of foreshortening, so I had some issues with trying to have the upper portion of her arm read better. Regardless, this was lots of fun to work on and allowed me to learn quite a bit from my mistakes.
